Background


Jim Kelleher is the founder of Kelleher Law, one of the leading personal injury law firms in Southwest Florida. Before opening his own firm, Jim was a partner for over 20 years at Morgan and Morgan PLLC. A member of the firm’s Executive Committee, he was selected to be the managing partner of the firm's new location in Southwest Florida. Under his guidance, the office grew to become one of the firm’s most successful. Additionally, Mr. Kelleher started three other offices from the ground up in Atlanta, Savannah, and Columbus, Georgia, building those locations into multi-million dollar operations.

In his 30+ years as a trial lawyer, Jim Kelleher has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, totaling millions of dollars. Based on his successful work as a leading personal injury attorney, he has been awarded many honors, including an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating awarded for legal ability and ethics based on peer reviews and evaluations. In addition, he is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a select group of attorneys and judges exhibiting the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism throughout their legal careers. Jim Kelleher graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor degree in 1983 from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Since his initial admission to the practice of law in 1984, he has tried every type of personal injury case to verdict, including >auto accidents, >wrongful death claims, medical malpractice suits, >premises liability cases, and complex insurance claims.

Education


Jim Kelleher was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his undergraduate education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, where he played intercollegiate basketball. After receiving his degree in Political Science in 1980, he attended the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, receiving his Juris Doctorate Degree Cum Laude in 1983.

Community Involvement


Long-time residents of Southwest Florida, Jim and his wife Susan, are the proud parents of four children, Jim, Patrick, Kathleen, and Mary Claire. The entire family is deeply involved in the community, and they are actively engaged in assisting numerous charitable and civic organizations.
